UnBarred are super excited about our collaboration with Full Circle Brew Co.
Full Circle’s owner, Ben Cleary, always knew he wanted to follow in the footsteps of a family legacy working in the drink industry. Having run the successful ‘Pip Stop’ store for a couple of years, it felt like a natural transition to move from grape-to-grain.
Starting out with a small 1-hectolitre brewhouse at Lanchester Wines Co. with the help of current Head Brewer, Alex, they soon started to work towards the goal of joining ever-growing and popular the Northeast microbrewery scene.
After having visited the popular Crooked Can Brewery, Ben loved the idea of Tap Room and Brewery sharing the same space within a modern yet rustic setting.
From that inspiration the Full Circle team looked to create their own venue that captures the hearts, minds and most importantly, tastebuds of the local community, as well as creating a destination for people travelling from far and wide.
Since then, the team have gone strength to strength, and we are super happy to have them work on this exciting beer together.
The team have until now, never have thrown their considerable skills to make a White Stout so they were ecstatic to try their hand with Jordan’s expertise and history on creating a full flavoured and unique white stout. Enter Sticky Toffee Pudding White Stout.
Sticky Toffee Pudding White Stout comes in at 8% and delivers sweet, decadent Toffee, Dates and a touch of Vanilla.
The beer features the fantastic artwork of Lewis (@illewstrator). Lewis is 24 and has been illustrating for as long as he can remember. Lewis has been living in Brighton his whole life, and has been influenced by the vibrant art scene in the city.
Lewis likes to experiment with as many different styles as he can as it keeps it interesting and supports the work he does with a diverse range of clients.
Lewis said of his design:
“The style that I used for the Sticky Guy illustration is probably my favourite and most used one. I take a lot of influence from art that I see on skate decks, old comic books from the 80's and 90's and also cartoons like The Midnight Gospel and the old Fleischer Studio animations are a big source of inspiration for me! I'm always a fan of super colourful, vibrant stuff that's a bit out there and I think it compliments well with what the guys at Unbarred are doing!”
